Best Birding Binoculars

Don’t you just love those birds – the tuffed titmouse, wrens, woodpeckers and bluejays? With a pair of good birding binoculars I could spend whole days outdoors watching the flight of hawks. Although for birding any pair of binoculars might do, I find that investing in a pair of best bird binoculars will make all the difference.

Advantages of Birding Binoculars:

  • Will make birding a more enjoyable experience instead of being a burden to carry
  • Never miss the details anymore. I positively love how my Nikon Monarch showed me every movement in the flight muscles.
  • Dim light in early mornings is no longer a problem with good quality lenses.

Nikon 7430 Monarch 8 X 42mm All Terrain Binoculars

Nikon Monarch ATB 8 x 42 has the perfect power of magnification for birding, not too high so you get a steadier image and a reasonable field of view to search for birds. It has center focus for faster focusing and fully multi-coated (FMC) lenses to give you the brightest, sharpest and clearest images without fuzzy edges. The rubber housing is good as a ‘silencer’ and provides minimal shock protection, and waterproof to protect it against sudden showers, dust and fog.

Binoculars can be heavy and at the end of the day you don’t want to be holding a brick. This pair is 1.9 pounds, although not the lightest of weight among binoculars, it is good enough for the average birder. The neck strap that comes with it helps a bit.

If you wear eyeglasses, these binoculars are the best bird binoculars for you too because it has extended eye relief and you won’t miss out on any bird.

Zeiss Victory T* FL 8×42 – Luxury Birding Binoculars

Best Bird Binoculars - Zeiss Victory 8x42 T FL Binocular Review

Zeiss Victory 8x42 T FL Binoculars

Zeiss Victory FL T has a power of 8x magnification, but there are other models that also provide 10x magnification. With its wide field of view, the Zeiss Victory FL T is also terrific under conditions with lower light intensity, such as dawn or day break. The focusing is superb, as you can focus from infinity to 6 feet with just one and half turn of the wheel.

They are waterproof, sealed against dust and have eye cups that curled around when glasses are pressed into it. Zeiss Victory is a bit on the heavier side, and cost quite a lot more than the Nikon, but all in all it is one of the best binoculars for birdwatching.
